The creation of the Federation and the 26th-century Enterprise-J figure into tonight's Star Trek: Enterprise according to a spoiler review.

Hercules of Ain't It Cool News wrote that "Azati Prime", which airs tonight at 8 p.m. EST on UPN, has a good but "gruesome" final battle scene, some poignant farewells and Archer killing three Xindi in cold blood.

Written by Manny Coto, who also wrote the much-admired "Similitude" and the less-praised "Harbinger", "Azati Prime" sees Archer decide to obliterate the Xindi weapon by launching a suicidal attack.

But Crewman Daniels arrives to warn him that his death will endanger the creation of the United Federation of Planets. Moreover, he says that if Archer cannot convince the Xindi that humans are not their enemies, the Xindo will destroy Earth and in turn be obliterated by the builders of the Expanse spheres.

Hercules reported that Daniels takes Archer to the 26th century to see the future in the form of the Enterprise-J.

Herc gave the episode and its cliffhanger ending three and a half stars out of five.
