  • The Sci-Fi Wire is reporting about the outrage by Star Trek fans on Usenet about the lack of an 'in memoriam' tribute to DeForest Kelley (Leonard 'Bones' McCoy) at this year's Academy Awards. Thanks go out to Elaine Butler for this!

  • Malte Kirchner and Yann-Patrick Schlame at the German Star Trek Index have put up a new edition of their (German-language) online radio show 'Episodencafé', this time looking at TNG's 'Der Kampf um das klingonische Reich' (Redemption).

  • According to the Official Jeri Lynn Ryan Homepage, the May 2000 issue of the British Star Trek Monthly Magazine features an interview with Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine). In addition, the March 2000 issue of SFX names Ryan science fiction's third sexiest woman.

  • According to a report by the Sci-Fi Wire, this weekend's Star Trek Grand Slam convention in Pasadena, California, also featured a campaign appearance by former 'Babylon 5' star Jerry Doyle, currently running as a Republican candidate for a California congressional seat. At the meeting, he said he was going to rely on word of mouth by SF fans to help him win his seat, and also jokingly promised that his first act in Congress would be to bring back B5.
