Hello World!

Thanks to everyone who submitted poll ideas - some of you sent in enough questions to last a lifetime, proving that you've all got far better imaginations than me. Of course, as many of you did point out, a question about the 'Nemesis' trailer was really a no-brainer. I must be losing brain cells from staring at the computer screen too much.

These were some of the major news items on July 1, 2000:

  • Trek X Writer Finally Named?
J.G. Hertzler (Chancellor Martok) let the cat out of the bag at the DragonCon convention in Atlanta, revealing that 'Gladiator' scribe John Logan had been tapped to write the 'Trek X' script. Hertzler apparently heard the news from TNG cast member Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi).

  • Site Columns
In a poll asking TrekToday visitors to name their favourite first officer, Spock flew past the competition to take first place with 31.2% of the vote. The surprise of the poll was Voyager's Chakotay, who beat off competition from Kira Nerys, William T. Riker, and Elizabeth Shelby to claim second place.
