- Zack Stentz Interview
Staff Writer Zack Stentz talks about the looming strike threat, fan feedback and current feature film projects with his writing partner, Ashley Edward Miller, entitled 'Mars Needs Trucks' and 'Night' (to be directed by 'Free Enterprise's' Robert Meyer Burnett). In part two Stentz reveals how one of Andromeda's episodes started off as a pitch for Voyager: "'Banks of the Lethe' was originally pitched as a [story in which] Tuvok uses quantum-entanglement to communicate with his wife back in the Alpha Quadrant." - Season Two Spoilers
The very latest spoilers, including a detailed look at the season one finale, 'Its Hour Come Round At Last,' and tidbits for the first few episodes of season two can now be found online. Also, read series star Kevin Sorbo's thoughts on the new season, as well as his desire for a more dramatic opening, here. - 'The Devil Take The Hindmost' Reviewed
Heather Jarman, resident Andromeda reviewer at SlipstreamWeb awarded this episode four out of four stars, which succeeds because "it builds on Andromeda's rules and Andromeda's characters." Jarman wasn't too fond of 'Fear and Loathing in the Milky Way,' however, stating that "Andromeda could and should do better." The complete review can be found here. - Kevin Sorbo Con Report
Kevin Sorbo, who plays Captain Dylan Hunt on the series, recently attended the Starfest 2001 convention in Denver. Sorbo revealed that Michael Hurst (Iolaus on Hercules) would be making a guest appearance on the series, playing a Magog bounty hunter. He also commented on the differences between Hercules and Andromeda, stating that he finds the new show more interesting to play. - Andromeda Garners 7 Leo Nominations
The nominations for the British Columbia Film & Television awards ('The Leos') were recently announced, with Andromeda nominated for seven awards, including 'Best Dramatic Series,' 'Best Picture Editing' and 'Best Cinematography'. To win the 'Dramatic Series' award, the series will have to beat the series Cold Squad, The Outer Limits, Mysterious Ways, and the previous winner, Da Vinci's Inquest.
The next Andromeda episode to air is 'Star-Crossed,' which features guest star Michael Shanks (Dr Daniel Jackson on Stargate SG-1). Check out SlipstreamWeb for the latest information.
