Star Trek: Discovery Emmy Win

Over the weekend, the Creative Arts Emmys ceremony was held, and Star Trek: Discovery won for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for a Series, Limited Series, Movie or Special for the If Memory Serves episode seen in Discovery‘s second season.

This year, Star Trek: Discovery had been nominated for Outstanding Main Title design 2019; Outstanding Sound Editing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (One Hour) – 2019, Outstanding Special Visual Effects – 2019 and Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for a Series, Limited Series, Movie or Special.

Those on the team that won include: Glenn Hetrick, Special Makeup Effects Department Head; James Mackinnon, Special Makeup Effects Department Head; Hugo Villasenor, Special Makeup Effects Artist; Rocky Faulkner, Special Makeup Effects Artist; Chris Bridges, Special Makeup Effects Artist; Nicola Bendrey, Special Makeup Effects Artist; Mike O’Brien, Prosthetic Designer; and Neville Page, Prosthetic Designer.

Discovery beat out teams from American Horror Story: Apocalypse, Chernobyl, Fosse/Verdon, and Game of Thrones.
