David Nevins, CBS Chief Creative Officer, spoke about promoting Star Trek while addressing attendees at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Communications and Entertainment Conference in Los Angeles.
“We really believe in not only serving inside our own ecosystem but serving people outside,” he said. “What we’re trying to do right now with Star Trek is build that brand. We want it to get younger and more relevant to people.”
Viacom and CBS together can form a “virtuous eco-system,” Nevins added, referring to movies, ad-supported television, and streaming options.
