Three Star Trek comics from IDW Publishing will be arriving this August. The issues will include: Star Trek: Discovery: Aftermath #1, Star Trek: The Q Conflict, and Star Trek: Year 5 #5.
Star Trek: Discovery: Aftermath #1 tells fans that “You saw the stunning conclusion of the second season of Star Trek: Discovery — now witness the Aftermath! After discovering Michael Burnham’s personal log, Spock begins to unravel the story of Burnham’s journey from orphan to Starfleet officer — and the secret history of the Red Angel as well. Written by Kirsten Beyer and Mike Johnson, and featuring art by Tony Shasteen, and cover art by Angel Hernandez and George Caltsoudas; Aftermath #1 will be thirty-two pages in length and cost $3.99.
Next up is Star Trek: The Q Conflict. Written by Scott and David Tipton and featuring art by David Messina, and a cover by Caltsoudas; here is a description of the story. “The captains of the Original Series, The Next Generation, Voyager, and Deep Space Nine meet for the first time in a contest of unwilling champions! When a dispute between godlike beings threatens the galaxy, it will take all of Starfleet’s best captains to stop them. Join James T. Star Trek: The Q Conflict will be one hundred-and-fifty-two pages in length and will cost $19.99.
Finally, look for Star Trek: Year 5 #5 in August. In Year 5 #5, “During an investigation of a long-dead world, the crew of the Enterprise uncovers a mysterious device that at first appears to be a universal translator. But as Uhura investigates this strange new device, she’ll quickly discover there’s more than meets the eye about the Truth Artifact!”
Star Trek: Year 5 #5 will be written by Jody Houser, and will feature art by Silvia Califano, and covers by both Stephen Thompson and J.J. Lendl.
The thirty-two page issue will cost $3.99.
