Peck: Where Spock Is Headed

2 min read

In an interview with Ethan Peck at last weekend’s PaleyFest, TrekMovie asked Peck about Spock’s future for the rest of Season Two of Discovery, and perhaps a bit beyond.

When asked if he saw this season as “an arc from The Cage and dealing with your sister to an endpoint with Spock in the first season of TOS,” Peck replied “Yeah sort of. I think that overshoots it by probably a decade right because currently in this…season of Discovery we are ten years before The Original Series, three years after The Cage. And so, ultimately, yes Leonard Nimoy‘s Spock is the light at the end of the tunnel, but in terms of this season, I think there is, you know this is just the beginning of his journey to becoming the Mr. Spock we know from TOS.”

Will Spock be back for Season Three? “I can’t say,” said Peck.

Peck was also asked about the final four episodes of Discovery Season Two. “What I can say is that I have been a part of it. I have filmed it. I have been inside of it. And I can’t wait to see it. I think it is going to be so stupendous.”

When asked about a spinoff series including Anson Mount, Peck, and Rebecca Romijn, Peck said that “Yeah, I think it would be pretty cool.” But his most interesting part of the interview was when he was asked if there had been any discussion about a spinoff. “I can’t say,” he said, with a laugh.

TrekToday is all on board for that spinoff series.
