Although Star Trek 4 seems dead in the water, Zachary Quinto hasn’t yet given up hope of its being made.
Slashfilm reports that Quinto, appearing at the Television Critics Associate panel for his forthcoming AMC series NOS4A2, spoke about Star Trek 4.
“I mean, it’s been a broad conversation that we’ve been having for a while in terms of what’s the future of the franchise. It’s in process so I don’t know exactly what to say other than there’s no plans for a movie happening at this moment.”
But even though Quinto has been keeping busy, with movies and the new AMC series, he’d make room for Star Trek 4 if necessary. “I would love to [return],” he said. “I feel like it’s been an anchor of my creative life for the last over ten years now so if I can go back to it, I’ll always be happy to. I love my Star Trek family so we’ll see how it goes.”
