A new ad for the second season of Star Trek: Discovery aired last night, showing plenty of action and danger, the return of a fan favorite, and a surprising smile. There are spoilers below.
The ad begins with an asteroid collision and ends with Spock smiling, which should satisfy those who believe that he should be doing so at this point in his life. Pike then says “Spock, is that a smile I see on your face?” and Spock replies “yes.”
Season Two of Star Trek: Discovery begins on January 17 on CBS All Access.
