According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sir Patrick Stewart is in final negotiations to star in the Sony movie reboot of Charlie’s Angels.
Stewart will take on the role of Bosley, the only Townsend Agency employee to ever meet Charlie, the enigmatic and never-seen owner of the detective agency, in person. Stewart will be one of multiple Bosleys in the movie. Elizabeth Banks will play another Bosley.
The Angels will be played by Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska.
In the new movie, “the Townsend Agency [is] now a security and intelligence service that has teams around the world. The movie will focus on one of those teams and the next generation of Angels.”
Written by Banks and Jay Basu, from an earlier draft by Craig Mazin and Semi Chellas, the new movie will be produced by Banks, her husband Max Handelman, and Doug Belgrad.
Expect to see Charlie’s Angels on September 27, 2019.
A personal note: Thanks to all who inquired as to my well-being during and after Hurricane Florence. Fortunately, the storm was not as bad in the Raleigh area as it was predicted to be, other than in flooding in places where it normally floods.
The southeastern part of the state didn’t fare as well though. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers please, and if you can help them in any way, please do so.
