Pine Hopeful For Star Trek 4

In attendance at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) yesterday, Chris Pine spoke briefly with Variety about the possibility of signing for Star Trek 4.
Both Pine and Chris Hemsworth walked away from salary negotiations last month, dissatisfied with what Paramount wanted to pay them. Both had deals in place for Star Trek 4, but the studio wanted them to take a pay cut, claiming that they “lost money on the movie [Star Trek Beyond].
When asked if he would be interested in being a part of Star Trek 4, Pine said “I don’t know. I mean I’d love to be involved, and we’ll see what happens and I’ll await the phone call. Until then, I look forward to it.”
