Spiner Bows Out Of Supergirl

1 min read

Earlier this month, TrekToday reported that Brent Spiner was set to take on the recurring role of Vice President Baker in Supergirl; but today comes news that he had to leave the show for personal reasons.

Scheduling issues were the problem, with Spiner needing to leave Supergirl to “attend to a family issue that conflicted with the production dates.”

Bruce Boxleitner will take on the role instead. He will be joined by newcomers Nicole Maines, who will play the first trans superhero Nia Nal/Dreamer. Also joining the show is Sam Witwer, April Parker Jones, David Ajala, Rhona Mitra, and Robert Baker.

Supergirl will resume airing on Sunday, October 14 at 8 PM on The CW.
