Mulgrew: Men Must Help To End Abuse

1 min read

Star Trek: Voyager‘s Kate Mulgrew spoke out on the sexual abuse scandals currently roiling Hollywood.

“I was in Hollywood a week ago, where everybody is talking about the recent accusations [about sexual harassment],” she said. “It’s all that anybody’s talking about. When I talked to some of the female leaders in this industry at an event in L.A., they asked, ‘Do you think that this is meaningful, what’s happened to Weinstein? Or is it a pause?'”

“Everything in me – my entire experience as an actress in Hollywood – feels like this is going to be a pause if we are not very, very careful,” she said. “That means that the men have to rise up. It’s going to take a different kind of integrity, but we can do it.”
