Actor James Cromwell, best-known to Trek fans for his role as Zefram Cochrane in Star Trek: First Contact, was arrested and sentenced to a week in jail.
The arrest was a result of Cromwell’s refusal to pay a $375.00 fine over a 2015 New York power plant sit-in protest during which he and six others obstructed traffic.
Cromwell has until July 14 to change his mind and pay the fine. Don’t count on him doing that though. If we don’t stay together, nothing will change,” he said after the hearing. “Power to the people.”
