Several weeks after stating that he would like to become a U.S. citizen, Sir Patrick Stewart spoke more about his fondness for his adopted country.
“I love the United States,” he said. “The country and its people mean so much to me and the impact it has had on my life has been massive. I felt actually for a long time that I wanted to contribute more, but while I’m not a citizen I cannot.”
The actor is “investigating” becoming a citizen, saying that “right now, it’s complicated…but it would make me so proud.”
