1 min read

Fundraising has just begun for What We Left Behind: Looking Back at Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and the campaign is already more than halfway to its $148,978 goal.

In What We Left Behind: Looking Back at Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, a “detailed look [will be taken] at this historic series and…the reasons Deep Space Nine went from a family outcast to a Star Trek mainstay [will be considered]. The film will also contain a ‘what if’ segment in which the original writers brainstorm a theoretical eighth season of the show.

“Spearheaded by original show-runner Ira Steven Behr,” What We Left Behind will be directed by Adam Nimoy (For the Love of Spock).

Those involved in this project include: Ira Steven Behr, Nana Visitor, Terry Farrell, Rene Auberjonois, Armin Shimerman, Alexander Siddig, Colm Meaney, Cirroc Lofton, Michael Dorn, Max Grodenchik, Casey Biggs, Jeffrey Combs, Chase Masterson, Andrew Robinson, Hana Hatae, Marc Alaimo, Aron Eisenberg, James Darren, Nicole de Boer, J.G. Hertzler, and Robert O’Reilly.

Some of those who wrote for the series will also be involved in the documentary.

Contributions will go to additional interviews, post-production, perk fulfillment, licensing, and of course Indiegogo needs their cut.

Perks for contributing range from T-shirts and DVDs to an associate producer credit. To donate to this worthy cause, head to the link located here.

Below is a video promoting the project. An interview with Behr can be read here.
