Trek-themed Swimwear

2 min read

Now that summer is approaching in the northern hemisphere, it’s time to think of the pool and the beach, and what to wear on those sultry days.

ThinkGeek has introduced a new line of swimwear, the Star Trek: TNG Trekini Swimwear line.

Included in this line are three one piece swimsuits, which come in blue, gold, or red. Made of 85% polyester/15% spandex, the swimsuits come in sizes from small through 2X. Note that the chest size for 2X is 33″, which in real world sizing is a small, not 2X. The site claims that “measurements look small, but these are taken with the fabric unstretched,” but it’s a safe bet that this is for younger, slimmer women only (who are probably wearing bikinis anyhow, not one-pieces).

Selling for $59.99 each, the one-piece swimsuit can be ordered here.

Next up is the Star Trek: TNG Deanna Troi Swim Shirt. The swim shirt is a great way to avoid sunburn while swimming. It is also made of 85% polyester/15% spandex.

The sizing is still a bit off (their 2X would correspond to a normal L in women’s sizing) but more women will be able to wear this coverup, which sells for $49.99 and can be ordered here.

The last item in the Trekini Swimwear line is the Star Trek: TNG Cover-Up Romper. The one-piece grey gauzy cover-up features a gold drawstring waist and piping and is made of 100% polyester. The TNG Cover-up comes in sizes small through 3X. To order the TNG Cover-up, which sells for $39.99, head to the link located here.
