Star Trek Beyond Wraps Vancouver Shoot

1 min read

Star Trek Beyond has finished filming in Canada, and production will be heading to Dubai.

“That’s a wrap on the Vancouver leg of STB,” said Simon Pegg, via Twitter. “Beautiful city, beautiful people. Live long and prosper.”

Cast members Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, John Cho, Anton Yelchin and guest star Idris Elba are headed for Dubai. It is uncertain if Zöe Saldana will be involved in this part of the shoot. She posted a message recently saying, “Packing to fly back home from Vancouver, because my Star Trek shoot has end[ed].”

Director Justin Lin and Pegg will be taking part in a press conference in Dubai next week.

  1. Just buttin in to mention that over her facebook page Zoe actually said that only the part at vancouver ended, implying she diudn’t mean she has ended filming all her scenes but just the ones in canada. I’d be surprised if Anton, John and Karl take part of the rest of the filming and not Zoe.

  2. I wouldn’t be surprised. TOS regularly had some main cast members disappear from time to time. Good examples: Sulu wasn’t in most of the episodes of TOS (even though Mr. Takei was there from the beginning), Chekov missed the entire first Season, and McCoy was absent from a couple episodes. There are several with no Uhura at communications. Basically, TOS was all Kirk, Spock, and a touch of McCoy. We didn’t see our favorite crew all together, at the same time consistently, until the original movies. There were only a couple of episodes that featured the well known crew together.
