Stewart To Politicians: More Trek!

1 min read

Sir Patrick Stewart has some advice for British politicians; watch Star Trek: The Next Generation!

The actor provided that advice to the Labour Party, currently engaged in “bitter infighting” over who should lead the party. Several candidates are currently vying for the leadership position, which will be determined in an election which begins today and ends in September.

“The Labour Party are in complete disarray,” said Stewart, who is a longtime supporter of the party. “How to return to a world where we can say, first and foremost, we believe in fairness because that has been absent from British politics for quite a long time.”

“I wish that politicians would spend more time watching Star Trek: The Next Generation,” said Stewart. “Because unlike my predecessor, Captain James T. Kirk, Jean Luc Picard believed first and foremost in negotiation. He was a diplomat before he was a warrior. Talk, talk, talk and keep on talking. That would be a great message for the world to absorb.”

  1. He makes a valid point, discussion is the best way to solve most problems. But sometimes you need to use a phaser.
