The slate of IDW Publishing Star Trek comics for August has been revealed.

There will be three Trek comics released in August, including two crossovers with other franchises.

The comics include Star Trek/Planet of the Apes: The Primate Directive – Spotlight, Star Trek #48: Five-Year Mission: Deity, and Star Trek/Green Lantern #2.

In Star Trek/Planet of the Apes: The Primate Directive – Spotlight, “What could possibly cause Captain Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise to side with Dr. Zaius to protect Ape City? And what does Colonel George Taylor have to say about it?”

Written by Scott and David Tipton, featuring art and a cover by Rachael Stott, the two-hundred-and-twenty page issue will sell for $19.99.

Next up is Star Trek #48: Five-Year Mission: Deity. In this first part of a two-part story, “the crew of Starship Enterprise [discovers] an uncharted world whose inhabitants worship vengeful gods…gods who now turn their wrath on Captain Kirk and his crew.”

Written by Mike Johnson, with art and cover by Tony Shasteen, the thirty-two page issue will cost $3.99. A variant photo subscription cover will also be available.

Finally, Star Trek/Green Lantern #2 continues the six part Star Trek/Green Lantern crossover series. In this issue, “Hal Jordan meets Captain Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise for the first time as six Lantern rings choose new bearers. But which Trek characters – and which alien races – will be selected?”

Written by Mike Johnson, with art by Angel Hernandez and cover by Paul Pope, the thirty-two page issue will cost $3.99, and there will be two variant covers.
