Star Trek into Darkness‘ Chris Pine may be appearing as a superhero.
According to the rumor mill, Pine is up for the role in the Green Lantern.
If this rumor is true, Pine would take on the role of Hal Jordan.
Hal Jordan was a test pilot given a special ring by an alien, and Jordan became a member of the crime-fighting Green Lantern Corps.
Pine was considered for the role in the 2011 Green Lantern, so this is the second time he has been considered for the role.
Any Green Lantern appearance is expected to be years away. And treat this strictly as an early rumor.
