A “first look” teaser for Blunt Talk, starring Sir Patrick Stewart, has been released.

The STARZ original series Blunt Talk is a half-hour comedy series created by Jonathan Ames and executive produced by Ames and Seth MacFarlane.

In Blunt Talk, Walter Blunt (Stewart), is a “British import intent on conquering the world of American cable news and the fallout from his well-intentioned, but mostly misguided decision-making, both on and off the air.

“Through the platform of his nightly cable news show, Blunt is on a mission to impart his wisdom and guidance on how Americans should live, think and behave. Besieged by network bosses, a dysfunctional news staff, numerous ex-wives and children of all ages, Blunt’s only support is the alcoholic manservant he transplanted from the U.K. to join him in Los Angeles.”

Joining Stewart will be Jacki Weaver as Rosalie, Blunt’s “tough and motherly” producer-manager; Adrian Scarborough as Harry, Blunt’s manservant; Dolly Wells as Celia, Blunt’s senior producer and head writer; and Timm Sharp as Jim, Blunt’s head writer.

Blunt Talk already has a two-season, twenty-episode commitment. The first episode will debut this summer. For more information follow @BluntTalk_Starz on Twitter. Join the conversation with #BluntTalk and #STARZ.

  1. Doesn’t look funny, and Stewart looks like he’s really having to force it to try and get humour from the script.
