As reported back in November by TrekToday, the War of the Worlds Sci-Fest fundraiser will take place this week, featuring actors from all five of the live-action televised series.
The performance will take place on Saturday, January 17, at 8 PM at the ACME Theater in Hollywood.
“Wil Wheaton will headline as ‘Orson Welles‘ alongside fellow Star Trek alumni Walter Koenig, Michael Dorn, René Auberjonois, Armin Shimerman, Tim Russ, and Linda Park. Also appearing: Dean Haglund (The X-Files) and a special prerecorded cameo appearance by comic book legend, Stan Lee. The performance will be produced by Sci-Fest LA and directed by Jim Fall.
“The idea for the fundraiser came from Sci-Fest LA co-producer, actor David Dean Bottrell (Boston Legal).’Even after seventy-six years, the original script for War of the Worlds is still chilling and beautifully written,’ he said. ‘We are tremendously honored to have such an extraordinary company of actors performing it live on stage. And as a lifelong Star Trek fan, I’m speechless. This is going to be an amazing night for sci-fi fans!'”
