Joan Collins, best-known to Star Trek fans for her role as Edith Keeler in an original series episode, is now Dame Joan Collins.
The London-born Collins who played Alexis Carrington on the hit show Dynasty in the 1980s is now the female equivalent of a knight.
The eighty-one-year-old actress received the Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire for her services to nonprofit children’s charities.
It was “humbling to receive this level of recognition from my queen and country, and I am thrilled and truly grateful,” said Collins.
