The original series’ George Takei had a cancerous growth removed recently.
The actor appeared at a charity gala this weekend with a bandage on his face.
“I went to my doctor for my physical last week and he detected an early sign of skin cancer here,” said Takei. “He cut it out and that’s why I’m wearing this (bandage).
“Let me assure you, my husband did not knock me out.”

I bet he christened the growth “Shatner” so now he can tell everyone he got rid of Shatner. ;o)
I’m very much not a fan of this man. That said, this sounds rather scary and I hope he makes a full recovery.
Let’s hope Mr. Takei has more class than that.
