Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Michael Dorn will be taking part in a Firefly online project.

Dorn will be voicing a character in the Firefly Online MMO.

The main Firefly cast will also be heard in the game, which is due to release this autumn for PC, Mac, iOS and Android.

Dorn will play a “hat-wearing Alliance member who has not appeared in any previous Firefly or Serenity media.”

“It’s a big, juicy role with lots of opportunity for Michael to demonstrate his considerable acting chops,” said Firefly Online, via their Facebook page. “We think you’ll like it.”

Firefly Online (FFO) is a multi-user strategic roleplaying game set in the universe of Joss Whedon‘s cult classic TV show – Firefly.” There will be a one-time cost to play the game, with updates being included in the price.

  1. Haha but don’t they just growl and not actually speak? Been a while since I watched anything FIrefly. He did make a great Krogan in Mass Effect. They were fairly similar to Klingons.

  2. That’s a good point, but he would certainly look fierce enough! Since this is a game, it’s just the voice that matters. I still hope they make his Alliance character look like him because he’s a good-lookin’ guy! Yep, I’m a fangirl. ๐Ÿ™‚
