For those who couldn’t make it to the San Diego Comic-Con last week, Star Trek: Axanar‘s short film, Prelude to Axanar, is now available for viewing online.

In Prelude to Axanar, Commander Kharn and Captain Garth of Izar will look back at the final battle between the Federation and the Klingon Empire.

Star Trek: Prelude to Axanar features Richard Hatch, Tony Todd, Kate Vernon, J.G. Hertzler, and Gary Graham.

The Kickstarter project for Axanar met its original funding goal, and raised more than $100,000. The producers hope to raise another $250,000, and have until August 24 to do so.

To see the film (note: it is the second video down, not the shorter video at the top of the page), head to the link located here.

  1. That was actually kinda excellent. Bravo! I’m going to donate to the kickstarter because I want to see more.

  2. It’s official, this is THE fan film that all other future fan films need to beat to be taken seriously. My gosh, this is as good, if not better than official productions!

  3. I really wanted to see this however the links in the story don’t point to the film only the teaser and a small behind the scenes clip. If someone has the full movie I would love to see it. I was late to the party (as it were) otherwise I would have donated to the first campaign. I have already donated to the followup Kickstarter campaign they have setup. It would be nice if I could see the one that they showed at Comic Con if it is available.
