Burton Kickstarter Funded In Twelve Hours

LeVar Burton‘s Reading Rainbow Kickstarter campaign made its target one million dollars in less than a day.
The campaign, reported here by TrekToday, only began yesterday.
Burton reacted to the good news, with a short video in which he thanked those supporting the Reading Rainbow Kickstarter campaign. The video showed the real time reaction to hitting the million dollar goal.
With tears in his eyes, Burton shared his feeling about reaching the goal. “I don’t know what to say,” he said. “We’ve just crossed the million dollar threshold. It is our first day. I am overwhelmed! Thank you so much! This is going to enable us to do really, really, really good.”
There are still thirty-three days to go in the campaign, located here. At press time, the amount pledged is only $25,500 short of two million dollars.
