Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s Sir Patrick Stewart has married.
The seventy-three-year old actor married jazz singer Sunny Ozell.
Stewart confirmed the marriage on his Twitter account yesterday, saying, “Yes, married,” and including a picture of the happy couple in pit filled with colorful balls.
The ceremony was officiated by Sir Ian McKellan, who posted a photograph of himself in a t-shirt with “Minister” on it, holding a Doctor of Divinity certificate. “I did my part,” said McKellan, in a Facebook post.
Stewart and the thirty-five-year old Ozell met in New York City while Stewart was performing Macbeth, and the two have been an item for five years.
Congratulations to Stewart and his wife.
