This week, IDW Publishing is releasing Star Trek: Volume 5.
In this one-hundred-and-four page issue, four different issues are combined, featuring Kirk and crew.
The stories include those formerly published in Star Trek #17-20. Featured are the shuttle ride to Starfleet Academy with Kirk and McCoy, Scotty’s discovery as a child that he loves engineering, Uhura and Spock meeting for the first time, and the beginning of the Chekov/Sulu friendship.
Written by Mike Johnson and Ryan Parrott, with art by Claudia Balboni, and cover by Tim Bradstreet, Star Trek: Volume 5 was overseen by Roberto Orci.
Star Trek: Volume 5 goes on sale, July 4, and will cost $17.99.
