Takei Ghostwriter: Sorry!

1 min read

Comedy Writer Rick Polito, who revealed that he writes some of the material used on George Takei‘s Facebook page, has apologized to the actor for spilling the beans.

The revelation by Polito had not fazed Takei, who said, “What is this hoo-ha about my FB posts?” Takei went on to explain who contributed to his FB page.

Polito explained what he said in the written apology to Takei. “I just said that I’d been looking for any mention of my book I could get and that I hadn’t meant to expose anything,” he said. “I don’t update his page. I’ve had no direct contact with George. I’ve sent him some memes, as have other comedian types, and I was happy for the exposure.”

There is no word yet if Takei has responded to the apology.
