Abrams Buys Beastlies Rights

1 min read

J.J. Abrams has purchased both the film and the animated series rights to Beastlies; little hand-sculpted monsters.

Made of polymer clay, Beastlies are the creation of Leslie Levings, who sculpts them individually.

Levings confirmed that she is working with Abrams. “It’s out of the bag now,” she said. “So I can now tell you folks that yes, I am working with J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot to make an animated Beastlies thing!”

Creating clay sculptures has been a hobby of Levings dating back to her childhood. She began sculpting when she was ten years old.

To see the Beastlies, head to the gallery located here. Levings sells new creations which are posted to the Beastlies website several times a week.
