A deal between Paramount Pictures and a group of developers may result in a new Paramount theme park not far from London, England.
London Resort Co. Holdings has signed the deal which would include Paramount-owned films such as Mission: Impossible, Paranormal Activity and Star Trek, but not Transformers, as the rights to Transformers belong to Hasbro.
The developers of the proposed theme park hope to open it in 2018, and are also looking to sign licensing deals with “major British brands.”
This deal follows other entertainment licensing deals, including theme parks in Spain and Jordan, and a hotel in Abu Dhabi.
