New Comedy Pilot For Abrams

1 min read

A new J.J. Abrams comedy pilot based on forthcoming book will possibly be aired by Fox.

The pilot, Adulting, is taken from Kelly Williams Brown‘s Adulting: How to Become a Grown-up in 387 Easy(ish) Steps, which is due out next May.

Brown has a blog of the same name, which is described as a “quirky, humorous guide on how to become an adult.” In her blog, Brown gives out advice on topics including: how to take care of your basic human needs, how to discuss politics with friends, how not to look like a slut at work, how to deal with dangerous toasters and how to shut down office creepers. Recent topics include ignoring small unfortunate social occurrences, being stuck in a rut and how to avoid a suitcase disaster. The blog can be seen here.

If picked up as a series, Adulting will be a half-hour comedy, written by Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein. Adulting is executive produced by Kohn, Silverstein, Abrams and Bryan Burk, with Kathy Lingg as co-executive producer and Athena Wickham as a producer.

  1. Hmm. This could be worth checking out. I could definitely use some advice on not looking like a slut at work.
