Cumberbatch: Tired of Denying Rumors

1 min read

While Benedict Cumberbatch enjoyed playing an “iconic” villain in Star Trek 2, denying rumors about the identity of said rumor has proven to be tiresome for the actor.

It was “really, really good fun,” said Cumberbatch of his Star Trek 2 role. “It’s a great part and it’s really well written. I enjoyed the fights and the stunts, there’s lots of that and it really is proper action movie territory.”

His role on Star Trek 2 is “the stuff of dreams,” said Cumberbatch. “I know it’s such a well-trodden, clichéd path, ‘Brit actor plays baddie in Hollywood’, but I channeled all of that and just really enjoyed it.”

But what about those rumors regarding the identity of the villain in Star Trek 2? “Yep, it’s yet another thing I can’t talk about,” said Cumberbatch. “I’ll tell you this; it’s iconic and it’s exciting. I’m bored of denying that it’s Khan now, because people keep saying it.”

  1. Let be guess, Spock’s in the holodeck playing Moriarty, and needs someone to challenge him?

  2. We’ll find out about the character he is playing come next summer. Personally, I doubt he’ll be playing the ill-fated Khan.
