New Abrams Disaster Flick

1 min read

Star Trek 2′s J.J. Abrams will be the producer on Earthquake, a new disaster film.

Although sharing a title with 1975’s Earthquake, which starred Charlton Heston, this Earthquake is not a remake of that classic disaster film.

Earthquake has been in development since 2008, but has now had a change in writers, with Dustin Lance Black (Milk) replacing David Seltzer (The Omen).

There is not much in the way of detail on the plot of Earthquake yet, but at one point, the “idea was that the movie would focus on the relationships between a group of people who get caught up in the disaster.”

Bryan Burk will also be producing.
