Stewart To Race For Charity

1 min read

Sir Patrick Stewart will be taking part in a celebrity racing event in July.

The Grand Prix Silverstone Classic weekend on July 21 will feature Stewart and other celebrities such as Brendan Cole, Chef Heston Blumenthal, Brian Johnson, Tony Hirst, Chemmy Alcott and ex-England footballer Steve Bull.

The celebrities will get to drive 130 MPH lightweight Morgan sports cars in the event.

“I’ve raced once before in a pro-celebrity event on the Long Beach Indy Car circuit in California,” said Stewart. “But that was ten years ago!

“I’ve been in retirement since then but when the chance came up to drive a great British sports car at Silverstone, well, what could be better?

“It was just irresistible. I’m looking forward to it immensely.”
