More Detail On Weller Star Trek 2 Role

1 min read

A small bit of information was released regarding Peter Weller‘s role in Star Trek 2.

The tidbit came courtesy of his agent, Todd Eisner. “Of course J.J. Abrams is very tight-lipped about his projects,” said Eisner, “but I do know that it’s a substantial role and that Peter is playing a C.E.O.”

Shooting on Star Trek 2, which will be released on May 17, 2013, begins next month.

  1. I’m guessing a cryogenically-frozen genetic superman former-CEO…who helps to attempt a hostile takeover of the Enterprise.

  2. Would be nice if he were playing an aged John Frederick Paxton… Would be a nice nod to the continuity of Enterprise, but somehow I don’t see that happening.

  3. If Admiral Archer is still around breading prize beagles then it is very possible Paxton is around as well. If they announce Archer is in the movie then we can be sure to see Paxton, of course T’pol could be around as well. Wasn’t there talk of a female vulcan or Romulan being in this new film?

  4. T’Pol is around and still working the granny-porn sites, I’m sure.
Please. Let Enterprise lie in its shallow grave. It did enough damage, we don’t need any more nods to the series that sodomized Trek into the ground.

  5. Yes, it’s ridiculous.
Kurtzman and Orci didn’t see a problem with this because they have no concept of time OR space.

  6. I always thought the Archer mentioned might have been Archer’s son or grandson….who also loved Beagles.

  7. Good one! They never said which Archer.
Come to think of it, “Admiral Archer’s prize beagle” doesn’t even require him being alive, it may just mean the current champion of the bloodline.
(Ar maybe he was cyborged, or uploaded, or hell, freeze-dried or something.)

  8. Colonel Green was linked to the eugenics wars some how intertwined with the khan super humans concept in the original series. Peter weller played Paxton in the enterprise episode who was a follower of Col. Green. I wonder if Star Trek 2.0, peter weller will play a decedent of paxton to reprise the role which would link the khan concept of the new movie ?? Are they smart enough to do that in the new movie ?
