Pegg: There’s An App For That

2 min read

Fans of Simon Pegg are now able to download The Adventures of Simon Pegg, a graphic novel app, to their iPhones, iPads, iPod Touches and Androids.

Inspired by Pegg’s autobiography, Nerd Do Well, the new graphic novel will show “Simon Pegg as you’ve never seen him before!”

Fans will be able to “marvel as his superhero alter-ego traverses the continents in his customized Pegg Jet. His mission: to prevent the destruction of all life on earth.”

In The Adventures of Simon Pegg, Pegg is “a ruggedly handsome superhero (with a body a bit like Brad Pitt’s from Fight Club and an almost constant thirst for Coke Zero) and his ever faithful robotic manservant, Canterbury, as they fight to stop the world from exploding. Will they get to Hendon in time to stop evil criminal Lord Black from carrying out his plan to fire his ancient Egyptian laser beam into the sun? Will Simon finally capture the heart of flame haired French cat burglar, The Scarlet Panther? And, perhaps most importantly, will Canterbury manage to provide appropriate refreshments for all visiting guests/informants? There’s only one way to find out.”

With the new app, fans can read all sixty-eight “richly illustrated pages,” meet the characters of the story and download “a colourful wallpaper,” read a chapter from Nerd Do Well and “share favourite scenes and images with friends via Facebook Connect, Twitter or email.”

For the iPhone, the app will cost £1.79 in the UK, $2.99 in the US, $3.99 in Australia and $2.99 in Canada. The Android app is UK-only and will cost £1.79.
