Abrams’ Show Gets The Ax

1 min read

NBC has announced that Undercovers, the J.J. Abrams spy drama/comedy, has been canceled.

Undercovers, directed by Abrams, was the story of a married couple who were ex-CIA agents who were pulled back into the spy world. Boris Kodjoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw played the ex-spies.

Although heavily promoted, low ratings, especially in the desired 18-49-year-old demographic, doomed the show. Undercovers averaged a 1/3 rating in that demographic, with only six million viewers watching the spy show.

The six remaining Undercovers episodes will air, with three of the episodes to be shown this month and in December. There is no word yet on when the final three episodes will air.
