Special Price Offer For Shakespeare In Klingon

1 min read

Star Trek Klingon and Shakespeare fans who wanted to see the Washington Shakespeare Company’s production of By Any Other Name: An Evening of Shakespeare in Klingon, but who balked at paying $150-$250, will be happy to hear of a new special discount price.

The production, which will feature selections from Hamlet and Much Ado About Nothing, will take place this Saturday, September 25 at 8 pm.

The special price will be $75.00 for a “Klingon Casting Call” ticket. This ticket is a general admission ticket. Unlike the other two tickets – it only includes the one show and no extras; such as the cocktail reception following the performance, or Theaterpasses to future WSC shows.

George Takei will be the featured guest at this performance, in which actors will speak the verse in both English and Klingon, with the lines of each corresponding to the Bard’s iambic pentameter. Takei will only be speaking English, doing a monologue from Julius Caesar.

The special discount ticket can be purchased here.
