Corey Allen Passes
1 min readActor/Director Corey Allen, who directed episodes for Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, passed away on June 27.
Allen, the last remaining cast member from Rebel Without a Cause, died at the age of seventy-five of natural causes.
Allen directed the following Star Trek episodes:

- The Maquis, Part II
As an actor in Rebel Without A Cause, Allen played bully “Buzz” Gunderson, who challenged Jim Stark (James Dean) to a “chicken run” car race which ended in death for Buzz. Allen was also seen in such shows as Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Perry Mason, Studio 57 and Studio One in Hollywood.
As a director, Allen worked on TV shows such as: The New People, Mannix, Ironside, Hawaii Five-O, Barnaby Jones, Police Women, The Rockford Files and T.J. Hooker, as well as his work on Star Trek.
Allen is survived by his daughter, Robin Duncan, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a brother, Steve.
