Saldana is in talks for the starring role as a “stone-cold” assassin who is seeking revenge for the murder of her parents.
In Colombiana, set in Latin America, a young woman witnesses the murder of her parents in Bogota, Columbia. She grows up and becomes an assassin, working for her uncle by day as a hitman. On her own time, she engages in vigilante murders that she hopes will eventually lead her to the mobster responsible for the death of her parents.
Saldana, best-known to Star Trek fans as Uhura, will next been seen in Takers, a crime thriller, which opens on August 20.
