Ellison: NOT Looking For Star Trek Job

1 min read

Writer Harlan Ellison set the record straight when he responded to articles reporting that he wouldn’t mind getting involved with J. J. AbramsStar Trek.

Last month, Ellison told readers of his “Art Deco Dining Pavilion” that he wouldn’t mind working for Abrams. “I would jump at the chance to work with the inordinately-talented J.J. Abrams on a new Star Trek film,” he said.

Ellison contacted Sci Fi Wire recently, who had picked up on the story that TrekToday broke, to let them know that his statement was just idle musing and nothing should be read into what was said.

According to Sci Fi Wire, he also wanted to “kill our brash correspondent” who wrote the story.” Sci Fi Wire offered instead to set the story straight.

Hopefully, Ellison will never find out that it was the TrekToday reporter who was the first one to post a story based on his blog comments.
