Saldana: Trek In 2011?

1 min read

Zoe Saldana (Uhura) is ready to “take her shirt off” and begin her work in the Star Trek XI sequel.

Saldana has already received a call regarding her work schedule for 2010. “We’re working on it,” she said of Star Trek XII. “They were calling to see where we were going to be and how my schedule is next year.

The call made Saldana happy. “Just that was worth me doing a cartwheel when I got the phone call,” she said, “because I cannot wait to put on the suit and go back to the Enterprise, take my shirt off and be with all those yummy guys.

There is still uncertainty as to the release date for the sequel. In a recent TrekToday article, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci were asked about a possible release date for Star Trek XII. Orci said that he thought that the sequel would make its appearance in 2012, “but we’re not sure.”

But TrekMovie’s sources said that “it is possible” that Star Trek XII could go into production as early as late summer and that a 2011 release date “is still possible.”
