Shatner Wanted For T.J. Hooker Film

1 min read

Although William Shatner didn’t get a cameo role in Star Trek XI, he may have better luck when it comes to the new T.J. Hooker film.

As reported by the New York Post, the producer of the just-announced movie hopes to get Shatner, as well as Heather Locklear (Stacy Sheridan,) James Darren (Corrigan,) Richard Herd (Dennis Sheridan) and Adrian Zmed (Romano) onboard for T. J. Hooker.

“We absolutely want to try and get the original cast in the movie,” explained Producer Ryan Heppe. “It’s all about finding the right story motivations to include their characters so we’re not just stopping the movie to drop by Adrian Zmed’s house, you know?”

T.J. Hooker, with Shatner playing the title role of a tough patrol sergeant, ran for five seasons on ABC and then CBS. The movie version of the popular cop show will deal with the relationship between T.J. Hooker and his father.
