1 min read

The first details regarding the Blu-ray release of Star Trek XI have emerged, promising plenty of goodies for fans, including deleted scenes.

As reported by TrekMovie.com, these details coming from Europe regarding the Star Trek XI aren’t officially confirmed by Paramount, but are said to be accurate. Extras slated for the Blu-Ray Star Trek XI release include: Audio commentary by J.J. Abrams, Bryan Burke, Alex Kurtzman, Damon Lindelof and Roberto Orci; ten featurettes; a gag reel; trailers; Star Trek: D-A-C demo (trailer) for XBOX 360, and deleted scenes.

Fans will definitely be interested in the nine deleted scenes. They include: Spock’s birth, the capture of the Narada by the Klingons, Kirk’s family (Young Kirk, Johnny and Uncle Frank,) Nero’s interrogation and escape from prison, Sarek and Amanda, Bedroom and Kobayashi Maru (original version,) Kirk apologizing to Gaila and Sarek seeing Spock Prime.

Amazon Germany has the release date for Star Trek XI as October 5th, which is probably accurate for a European release. Expect the U.S. release sometime in October or November.

In addition to Star Trek XI, expect Blu-ray releases for the second season of the original series in late September, and for the four Star Trek: The Next Generation movies in October or November.
