George Takei says that John Cho is the right person to take over the role of the swashbuckling Sulu.
As seen at MTV, Takei, interviewed at the Oscars ceremony, was pleased with the choice of actor to play the role that he once played.
Takei hasn’t seen any footage from Star Trek XI other than the trailers which have been made public, but expects the movie to be good. “J.J. [Abrams is] a fantastic filmmaker and a great storyteller,” said Takei. “So I think the ‘Star Trek‘ franchise is going to get another galactic push.”
