Burger King promotional tie-in commercials were filmed on the set of the Enterprise.

As reported by Mediabistro.com, Star Trek fans may have reason to pay attention to the forthcoming Burger King Star Trek XI commercials, as the word is that filming took place on the set of the Enterprise.Not only was the set of the Enterprise used in filming, but Star Trek XI Cinematographer Daniel Mindel and Production Designer Scott Chambliss were involved in the filming.

Burger King has done or will do promotions for other 2009 films, hoping to “resonate with super fans and super families globally,” according to Burger King CEO John Chidsey. The newest Pink Panther movie came out last month and the Burger King promotion for it included things such as an instant win game where customers had a chance to win one of thirty diamond and pink sapphire necklaces, as well as a toy giveaway with the purchase of a kid’s meal that featured toys based on The Pink Panther. Burger King will also do tie-in promotions for the Transformers movie due out this summer.
